Hawass announces new discoveries

"Chairman of Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) Zahi Hawwas opens on Wednesday 28/3/2007 the proceedings of the third forum on Islamic and Coptic antiquities at the SCA headquarters in Cairo. Hawwas will announce during the two-day gathering ancient finds discovered by missions in some sites in Qena, the Red Sea, Damietta and Sinai. Archaeologist Hisham el-Leithi, the rapporteur of the forum, said 16 new researches will be shown on the excavation and restoration operations in Islamic and Coptic sites."
